Dean Russell

Dean Russell, CPA, CA, is our Assurance Leader, responsible for Johnsen Archer LLP's quality and risk management for assurance engagements.

Dean oversees Johnsen Archer's assurance policy development, the communication and implementation of accounting and assurance standards, and educating staff and Partners regarding assurance methodologies and new and revised standards and pronouncements. He provides technical advice and consultation on accounting and assurance issues, as well as on rules of professional conduct.

With more than 25 years of experience, Dean's current and former assurance clients include public and private corporations, hedge funds, and not-for-profit organizations. Dean delivers strategic solutions to add value and help his clients' continued success. An excellent communicator, he takes pride in creating and maintaining strong working relationships with his clients.

Prior to joining Johnsen Archer, Dean was a Regional Assurance Partner with a national accounting firm. His responsibilities included researching and resolving complex accounting and assurance issues, development and delivery of internal assurance education, and participating in the firm's internal office practice review program.

Outside of the office, Dean enjoys spending time with his family, watching NFL, attending Seahawks and Washington Huskies games, and golfing poorly.
